| Earl Campbell
Earl Campbell is the Past Chair of the Alterna Savings Board and is a member of the Board of Alterna Bank, having served formerly as Chair of Metro Credit Union. The retired Director of Education and CEO of the Scarborough Board of Education, Mr. Campbell is the President of Earl G. Campbell Consulting and is a business coach and mentor for leadership development and strategic planning. With extensive Board experience and leadership in the community, Mr. Campbell is a Director of the Ontario Credit Union Charitable Foundation, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Bloorview School Authority and is a Director of the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association. Mr. Campbell is a Tribunal member of the Province’s Consent and Capacity Board, an independent body created under the Health Care Consent Act to conduct hearings under a number of health related Acts. In addition, Mr. Campbell is a Cruise Host for Expo Cruises and Tours.
|  | Johanne CharbonneauJohanne Charbonneau has been the Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of CBC/Radio-Canada since 2001 and possesses broad financial and senior management experience acquired in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Charbonneau spent 15 years at the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, the last eight as Vice-President Finance and CFO. She was Vice-President, Resources and CFO, at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). Ms. Charbonneau is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and holds an MBA from Queen's University. She is a member of the Financial Executives International (FED) and the Treasury Management Association of Canada (TMAC), and has played an active role on both boards in the past. She also served on the Certified General Accountants of Ontario's Board of Governors. | | Doug EllisPrior to his retirement, Doug Ellis held a number of executive positions with Hay Canada Inc., Brentas Performance Inc., Scottworks Solutions Inc. and TD Bank Financial Group. His experience encompasses strategic planning, human resources, line management and product development. Doug has a Master of Business Administration from York University, a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) for University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts (Business Administration) from York University. | | John LaheyJohn Lahey is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Alterna Savings and Alterna Bank. He joined the Alterna team in July 2007. Prior to this, John served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton based FirstOntario Credit Union since March 2001. He joined the credit union after having almost spent 25 years with at CIBC in increasingly senior roles. John volunteers his time, like many other credit union leaders, in an attempt to contribute positively towards a better credit union system. He has participated as a member of DICO’s Stabilization Committee, the national Special Strategy Committee on Small Business as well as Chair of the same Committee’s Branch Acquisition sub-committee. John is a former Director of Selient Technologies Inc. and the CUMIS Group as well as a former Governor of the University of Guelph. John has a B.A.A. from Ryerson University and an M.B.A. degree from York University. In November 2005, Ryerson University honoured John by awarding him the coveted Alumni Award of Distinction. |
| Jeff MayFor many years during his career, Jeff May was the Chief Financial Officer of the Scarborough Board of Education. In recent years he was the Executive Director of the Ontario Association of School Business Officials and was the Acting Superintendent of Business at the Simcoe County District School Board. Mr. May was a founding Director in the launch of a co-operative reciprocal insurance exchange (OSBIE) for Ontario school boards. He is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.Sc.). Mr. May joined the credit union Board of Directors in 2004. | | Bill MulvihillBill Mulvihill is a consultant specializing in the area of mortgage financing. He worked for many years with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation where he was instrumental in the development of the Mortgage Insurance Business and Securitization Programs. He ended his career there as Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Mulvihill serves on the Boards of Directors of Xceed Mortgage Corporation, AIG United Guaranty Mortgage Insurance Company Canada, AIG Commercial Insurance Canada and Alterna Bank. Bill has a PhD in Mathematics from Carleton University in Ottawa. He is married with 3 grown children and enjoys sailing, bicycling and woodworking. | | Richard J. NevilleRichard J. Neville, F.C.A. was elected Chair of Alterna Bank’s Board of Directors in April 2008. He has served on the Alterna Savings’ Board of Directors for the last 15 years (Formerly CS CO-OP) and on the Alterna Bank’s Board of Directors since 2003. Mr. Neville began his career in the Public Service in 1972, where he progressed to hold a number of senior level positions. From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Neville held the position of Deputy Comptroller General of Canada. Mr. Neville was appointed Vice-President, Finance and Administration & Chief Financial Officer, Royal Canadian Mint in June 2003 and remained in that capacity till his retirement in January 2008. Mr. Neville obtained his designation as a Chartered Accountant while articling with Clarkson, Gordon and Company, Chartered Accountants. Mr. Neville is a member of the C.A. Institutes in Ontario, Quebec and Alberta. In February 2001, Mr. Neville was named a Fellow of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec and conferred the initials F.C.A. | 
| Harriet VelazquezHarriet Velazquez is the President and principal consultant of Velazquez Consulting Inc. since 2000. Harriet also has extensive experience as Director of organizations in the private and public sectors. She was the President of INTRIA Corporation and Senior Vice President, Operations and Technology, Personal and Commercial Bank of the CIBC from 1994 to 2000. She has a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts (Cultural Anthropology) from Binghamton University (Harpur College). |
