As a co-operative financial institution, our commitment to supporting the communities we serve is the foundation we are built upon. We have a long history of community and social responsibilities activities going back to our earliest days.

Alterna Savings has committed to contributing 2% of our pre-tax profits to the communities we serve, as an Imagine Canada Caring Company. One percent of our commitment is provided through our Community Donations Program, and one percent through sponsorships and other activities.

We understand that corporate social responsibility (CSR) goes beyond traditional philanthropy, though, and as such, we have adopted five CSR pillars on which we will be focussing our efforts:
