Alterna Savings Participates in Earth Hour 2012

Earth Hour began in 2007 in Sydney, Australia and quickly grew to a global phenomenon. The goal is to get as many individuals and businesses as possible to turn off their lights for one hour to raise awareness about climate change and demonstrate that people are ready to take personal action.

Participating in Earth Hour is a simple way to show that you want to be a part of the solution and sends a powerful message to others that, together, our small actions can make a big difference.

Alterna Savings will be supporting this event on March 31st by turning off our lights at 8:30 pm for one hour. We encourage all of our members to do the same, in their homes or wherever they may be.

*Please note that all our branch locations have manual lighting, while the lighting at the Albert St. and Attwell Dr. locations are on timers. We encourage those in branch locations to please manually turn off the lights when you leave. For the Attwell Dr. and Albert St. locations, lights will be turned off automatically.
