BACKGROUND

I became a Wealth Advisor at Alterna in 2019 after transitioning from my role as Investment Specialist, which started in 2017 and involved assisting the bankers on my team in a sales-related capacity. I was also a Personal Banker at Alterna for two years and have worked in other positions, including Personal Banker, at a major bank.

When I first joined the industry as a bank teller, I became interested in finances and knew I wanted to spend my career helping to educate clients so they can make strong financial decisions and achieve their long-term goals. In the financial industry, it’s common for clients/members to stick to what they know and fear what they don’t. Therefore, it has always been a principle of mine to spend the time to make sure members understand their options – even if they have never experienced those options before.

When my members work with me, they can expect a professional advisor who will provide dedicated service with a member-focused mentality. I take pride in the service I provide and the ability I possess to teach my members how the financial world works. 

EDUCATION

I studied business administration at Seneca College and have also earned both the Personal Financial Planner designation from the Canadian Securities Institute and the Responsible Investment Specialist designation from the Responsible Investment Association. 

COMMUNITY IMPACT

Caring for our communities is embedded in Alterna's mission. We give over one million dollars a year in donations, sponsorships and community support - alongside countless volunteer hours. Alterna also provides an annual paid volunteer day to all employees, encouraging them to donate time to causes in their local communities.
