BACKGROUND

Christopher Trotman brings more than 12 years of experience across the nonprofit and social finance sector, with a focus on helping organizations build healthier, more sustainable communities.

In his role as Sector Development Manager with Alterna's Community Impact Department, Christopher leads investor engagement and capital mobilization to expand access to flexible financing for underserved entrepreneurs, nonprofits, co-operatives, and community organizations across Canada. His work focuses on building partnerships with government, philanthropic, and private organizations to secure capital for social impact initiatives spanning affordable housing, social enterprise, and community services, while designing innovative lending models and providing financial consulting to the organizations he serves.

Christopher works closely with sector partners and community leaders to advance inclusive financial solutions that strengthen the nonprofit and social finance ecosystem. His approach is rooted in collaboration and the belief that financial services should empower organizations to better serve their communities.
